Cute, versatile designer dress for spring

Ok, so I don't normally covet this particular designer but this dress is sooo perfect! It's by Maison Martin Margiela and it's on sale for $248 on far fetch.com, link below. I could see myself rocking this for so many occasions, a graduation, brunch, girls night out, and the list goes on. This dress works well with a ton of different accessories, and the fit looks so flattering. It is a little more than I would normally spend on one item, but I think it's versatility warrants the higher price tag. I could get a lot of wear out of this piece!! Here's the link for purchase: http://www.farfetch.com/shopping/women/maison-martin-margiela-drape-dress-item-10190109.aspx.

Ps. This site is awesome!

New Topshop shoe collection by Chloe Jade Green

Who is Chloe Jade Green?? I had to google the name myself. Turns out her British businessman dad, Sir Phillip Green, owns Topshop as well as several other European retailers.Quite a lucky girl! Being the daughter of retail royalty Chloe gets to create her own shoe collections for Topshop each season, and this latest collection is definitely fun. The collection "inspired by the vibrant culture of the Americas" has shoes named after American cities (including South American ones). The "Vegas" shoe, a glitzy black and gold heel that borders on gaudy, definitely captures the essence of Las Vegas. Actually many of the other shoes are a bit gaudy as well but in a good way,  which has me thinking: Is this how America is perceived by Europeans?? Hmmmm... Overall though, the collection is nice but it reads a bit young for me. I do have a favorite and that's the "Malibu" sandal. It's perfect for spring and summer and the stripes are neutral enough to go with everything. The shoes range from $165-250. Purchase online on topshop.com. Thoughts??

10 Spring accessories to help elevate your look

Some women just know what to wear and how to wear it, and upon studying some of these stylish women, I have come to realize one thing: they don't try too hard. So, instead of trying to coordinate the perfect outfit or trying to mix prints (something I have yet to master), why not throw on jeans and a t-shirt and a really cool accessory like one of the ones below? Maximize the potential of a minimalist look by throwing on a pair of spotted pumps or clumping together some stackable rings and a bright clutch. So, in an effort to solve the universal problem of "nothing to wear" here are some chic accessories to uplift any ensemble.

Get matchy matchy for spring

With all of the coordinating pieces that I have been seeing lately, it reminds me of  those little matching short sets that I would get every summer as a child. I lived in those little sets, so now I'm on the hunt for more grown up sophisticated versions with perhaps a crop top and shorts in a matching print. The thing to remember when wearing a matching set is to keep everything else simple especially if you are wearing a print. A nice pump and a cute clutch or cross body bag are all you will need to accessorize. I got really inspired when I saw a post from blogger Blair Eadie of Atlantic Pacific. She's wearing a matching floral set from Tory Burch that retails at over $600. I don't know about you guys but I have a hard time dropping $600 on one outfit. So, I scoured the internet for more affordable coordinates. Will you be rocking this trend for spring??

What to wear to a festival

I'm headed to Austin for South by Southwest this weekend and I've been thinking a lot about what to wear. If you are from Texas, you know the weather can change in a heartbeat, so keeping this in mind I put together some outfits that could go nicely with a leather jacket if the temperatures decide to dip. I also included both wedges, heels, and flats. Yes, there is a ton of walking around involved when you attend a festival, but for the more dressy events in the evening, you could get away with a wedge or chunky heel. Just bring your flats along just in case. It's festival season so here are some nice outfit ideas to help you get inspired.Thoughts???

Me styled by me!

It's no secret that one of my favorite stores is Zara. There's only one here in Dallas, so I have taken to ordering from their website because of course they have things you can't find in the store. I just ordered this mesh blouse and I'm loving it. It's so sexy and it stands out. It's $59 on zara.com, although last time I checked it was not in stock. Shoes from zara as well $99. Thoughts on this outfit???

Tips for buying swimwear online

As the temps in Dallas continue to warm (expecting 80 degrees today), I felt inspired to start looking ahead to summer and finding the perfect swimsuit. It can sometimes be tricky shopping for swimsuits online, so make sure that the store you order from accepts returns, and that you order two sizes. You can send the one back that doesn't fit. Also, since generally we don't select swimsuits based on bust size, make sure the bust is adjustable. If you've got some junk in the trunk or even if you don't, I think high waist bottoms are a sure bet. They look classic and they can hide potential trouble spots like that stubborn muffin top. Celebs everywhere are wearing them and they don't cost a fortune. I've found that topshop and riverisland have great selections, just order a size up because they tend to run small (as most European clothing tends to do). I've rounded up some of the hottest styles I could find on the web with most price tags under $100! I'm so excited for the spring/ summer season which tends to run together in Dallas, so I need to be ordering something soon. What swimwear trend will you be wearing this summer?

Sexy jumpsuits for spring/summer

For the longest time I have had an obsession with rompers and jumpsuits. It stems from the fact that slipping on a sexy one piece outfit makes getting dressed sooooo much easier. All you need is a killer pair of heels and cute bag and you're out the door! I know some women steer clear of jumpsuits because going to the bathroom can be tricky. However, I own a few one piece outfits and I have never had a huge problem with this. I've rounded up some of the sexiest ones that I could find online, and there were lots!! Will you be wearing a jumpsuit this spring??
